Module 5/6
There are two dominant frameworks intended to aid teachers in identifying the various degrees that technology can be integrated and infused into their educational practice:

1. Technology Pedagogy And Content Knowledge (TPACK)
2. Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition (SAMR)

Underlying the TPACK model is the recognition that technology, pedagogy and content do not exist in isolation, and that effective digital-age teachers unite the three domains in their teaching practices. The SAMR model integrates the ideas of TPACK into a framework that defines four levels of technology use, which exist on a continuum from enhancement to transformation. Whereas TPACK identifies the knowledge required by an educator for effective technology integration in the classroom, the concept of SAMR focuses on how an educator applies technology in their teaching practice. These frameworks can be applied simultaneously to a single lesson plan, thereby allowing the educator to identify areas where the lesson might be improved.

Below, please find a lesson plan that I have reviewed according to both the TPACK and SAMR models. I created this presentation using Google Slides. Although I have embedded it directly into my ePortfolio, you can also access the full presentation here.
